Bei der 9. Vollversammlung der Gemeinschaft Evangelischer Kirchen in Europa (GEKE) in Hermannstadt/Rumänien, die vom 27. August bis 2. September 2024 stattfindet, gibt es erneut ein Stewardprogramm. Die GEKE bietet mit dem Stewardprogramm 25 jungen Menschen zwischen 18 und 28 Jahren die Möglichkeit, an einer ökumenischen Freiwilligenaktion teilzunehmen, die traditionell zum Begleitprogramm der GEKE-Vollversammlungen gehört. Eine ganze Reihe von ehemaligen Teilnehmenden sind bis heute in der Ökumene engagiert geblieben. Insofern bietet die Teilnahme einen guten Einstieg in ökumenische und internationale Arbeit. 2024, bei der Vollversammlung in Hermannstadt, wird das Programm von Pfarrerin Kathleen Müller (Braunschweig) geleitet und vom Zentrum für Evangelische Theologie Ost (ZETO) begleitet.
Die Mitgliedskirchen werden eingeladen, junge Menschen zur Teilnahme zu motivieren. Gleicherweise können sich Interessierte, die die Kriterien erfüllen, auch direkt bewerben. Die nötigen Unterlagen können bis 15. März 2024 an die Geschäftsstelle der GEKE gesandt werden. Im Anhang siehe Information und Bewerbungsbogen.

The 9th General Assembly of the Communion of Protestant Churches in Europe (CPCE) in Sibiu/Romania, which will take place from 27 August to 2 September 2024, will be accompanied by a steward programme. With the steward programme, the CPCE is offering 25 young people between the ages of 18 and 28 the opportunity to take part in an ecumenical volunteer action that is traditionally part of the programme of CPCE General Assemblies. Quite a number of former participants have remained involved in ecumenism to this day. In this respect, participation offers a good start into ecumenical and international work. In 2024, at the Assembly in Sibiu, the programme will be led by Pastor Kathleen Müller (Braunschweig) and supported by the Centre for Protestant Theology in Eastern Europe (ZETO).
The member churches are invited to motivate young people to take part in the programme. Interested parties who fulfil the criteria can also apply directly. The necessary documentation can be sent to the CPCE office by 15 March 2024. See information and application form attached.
