Der Rat als Leitungsgremium der Gemeinschaft Evangelischer Kirchen in Europa (GEKE) hat den Pfarrer der Evangelisch-Augsburgischen (Lutherischen) Kirche Polens, Marcin Brzóska, in das Präsidium gewählt.
Marcin Brzóska studierte Evangelische Theologie an der Christlich-Theologischen Akademie in Warschau und ist seit 2001 Pfarrer. Parallel zu seinen Stationen als Gemeindepfarrer und Mitarbeiter in der Bischofskanzlei in Warschau pflegte er internationale Gemeindebeziehungen nach Deutschland und die Niederlande. Er ist Mitglied des Polnisch-Niederländischen Arbeitsausschusses Protestantischer Kirchen und seit 2019 Geschäftsführender Pfarrer an der Ev.-Lutherischen Jesuskirche in Cieszyn/Teschen.
In der Vollversammlung der GEKE 2018 wurde er in den Rat gewählt, dem er seit bereits 2007-2012 als stellvertretendes Mitglied angehörte. In der bis 2024 laufenden Funktionsperiode ist er u.a. im Arbeitsprozess «Folgen der Kirchengemeinschaft» beteiligt. In einer ersten Reaktion auf seine Wahl ins Präsidium der GEKE rief Marcin Brzóska mit Verweis auf Abraham (Gen 15,1) die Mitgliedskirchen der GEKE zu Vertrauen und Zuversicht in Zeiten der Corona-Pandemie auf.
Das Präsidium der GEKE wird aus drei Mitgliedern des Rates gebildet. Eine Nachwahl auf die freiwerdende dritte Position (neben Prof. Dr. Miriam Rose/DE und Dr. John Bradbury/GB) war nach dem Ausscheiden von Gottfried Locher (Evangelische Kirche der Schweiz) im Sommer 2020 erforderlich geworden. Der Rat der GEKE bestätigte Dr. John Bradbury in der Funktion der Geschäftsführung im Präsidium, die dieser im Sommer 2020 kommissarisch übernommen hatte.

Marcin Brzóska (PL) nowym członkiem Prezydium Wspólnoty Kościołów Ewangelickich w Europie (WKEE)
Rada, jako organ zarządzający Wspólnoty Kościołów Protestanckich w Europie (WKEE), wybrała do Prezydium ks. Marcina Brzóskę z Kościoła Ewangelicko-Augsburskiego (Luterańskiego) w RP.
Ks. Marcin Brzóska studiował teologię ewangelicką w Chrześcijańskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Warszawie i od 2001 roku jest księdzem. Równolegle z pełnieniem funkcji pracownika kancelarii biskupa w Warszawie i proboszcza, rozwijał międzynarodowe kontakty parafialne z Niemcami i Holandią. Jest członkiem Komisji ds. kontaktów polsko-holenderskiej, a od 2019 roku proboszczem Parafii Ewangelicko-Augsburskiej w Cieszynie.
Podczas Zgromadzenia Ogólnego Wspólnoty Kościołów Ewangelickich w Europie w 2018 r. został wybrany do Rady, w której w latach 2007 – 2012 pełnił funkcję zastępcy członka Rady. W czasie tej kadencji Rady (do 2024 roku), jest zaangażowany między innymi w proces roboczy “Konsekwencje przynależności do kościelnej wspólnoty”. W pierwszej reakcji na swój wybór do Prezydium WKEE ks. Marcin Brzóska wezwał Kościoły członkowskie WKEE do zaufania i zawierzenia Bogu w czasach pandemii koronawirusa, odwołując się do postaci Abrahama (1 Mż 15,1).
Prezydium WKEE będzie składać się będzie z trzech członków Rady. Wybory uzupełniające na wakujące trzecie miejsce (obok prof. dr Miriam Rose/DE i dr Johna Bradbury/GB) stały się konieczne po rezygnacji Gottfrieda Lochera (Ewangelicki Kościół Szwajcarii) latem 2020 r. Rada WKEE zatwierdziła wybór dr. Johna Bradbury’ego na stanowisko przewodniczącego Prezydium, które objął tymczasowo latem 2020 r.

Marcin Brzóska from Poland joins the Presidium of the CPCE
The Council, as the leading body, of the Communion of Protestant Churches (CPCE) has elected Reverend Marcin Brzóska from the Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession (Lutheran Church) in Poland to the Presidium.
After studying Protestant theology at the Christian Theological Academy in Warsaw, Revd Brzóska was ordained as a pastor in 2001. At the same time as serving as a parish minister and member of staff at the Bishop’s Chancery in Warsaw, he nurtured international relations with parishes in Germany and the Netherlands. Revd Brzóska is also a member of the Protestant Churches’ Polish-Dutch working committee and has been the Executive Managerial Minister for the Evangelical Lutheran Jesus Church in Cieszyn since 2019.
At the 2018 General Assembly of the CPCE, Revd Brzóska was elected to the Council, for which he had already acted as a proxy member from 2007 to 2012. During the current term of office, which runs until 2024, he will be working on the process examining “The effects of church communion”, among other things. One of his first reactions upon being elected to the Presidium of the CPCE was, with reference to Abraham’s words in Genesis 15:1, to call upon the member churches to exercise faith and hope in times of the corona pandemic.
The Presidium of the CPCE is formed by three members of Council. A by-election for the third position (alongside Professor Miriam Rose from Germany and Dr John Bradbury from Great Britain) was prompted by the resignation of Gottfried Locher (Protestant Church in Switzerland) in summer 2020. The Council of the CPCE confirmed Dr John Bradbury’s role as Executive President, which he had been acting as during the interim period.
