Am 7. September 2021 fand in den Räumen des Päpstlichen Rates zur Förderung der Einheit der Christen (PCPCU) im Vatikan ein Treffen zwischen Vertretern des PCPCU und der Gemeinschaft Evangelischer Kirchen in Europa (GEKE) statt. Gegenstand der Gespräche war die weitere Planung eines Dialogs, dessen Aufnahme bereits im Herbst 2018 zwischen beiden Partnern vereinbart worden war. Nachdem inzwischen beide Seiten ihre Delegationen bestimmt hatten, sollten letzte Verabredungen vor der offiziellen Aufnahme des Dialogs im kommenden Jahr getroffen werden.
Teilnehmer waren von Seiten des PCPCU dessen Präsident, Kurt Kardinal Koch, Bischof Bertram Meier (Augsburg) als designierter Leiter der römisch-katholischen Delegation und P. Augustinus Sander OSB als deren designierter Geschäftsführer. Die GEKE wurde durch ihren geschäftsführenden Präsidenten John Bradbury (zugleich designierter Leiter der Delegation), den Generalsekretär Mario Fischer und den Studiensekretär Martin Friedrich als designierten Geschäftsführer auf evangelischer Seite vertreten.
2018 war eine Konsultationsreihe im Auftrag der GEKE und des PCPCU zum Abschluss gekommen, die als Ergebnis einen „Bericht über Kirche und Kirchengemeinschaft“ vorgelegt hatte. Der nun im Jahr 2022 beginnende Dialog zwischen GEKE und PCPCU wird ein Dokument mit dem vorläufigen Arbeitstitel „Auf dem Weg zu einem gemeinsamen Verständnis von Kirche. Vergewisserung, Vertiefung, Ausblick“ anstreben.

Communiqué
On 7 September 2021 a meeting took place in the rooms of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity (PCPCU) in the Vatican between members of the PCPCU and the Communion of Protestant Churches in Europe (CPCE). The topic of the talks was continuing the planning of a dialogue, to which the two partners had originally agreed in autumn 2018. Now that the two sides had appointed their delegations, this meeting was convened in order to make the final arrangements before the official dialogue starts next year.
Participants from the PCPCU side were its president, Kurt Cardinal Koch, Bishop Bertram Meier (Augsburg) as designated leader of the Roman Catholic delegation and Pater Augustinus Sander OSB as its designated secretary. The CPCE was represented by its Executive President John Bradbury (also the designated leader of the delegation), General Secretary Mario Fischer and Study Secretary Martin Friedrich as designated secretary on the Protestant side.
2018 saw the conclusion of a series of consultations on behalf of the CPCE and the PCPCU, which presented as its findings a “Report on Church and Church Communion”. The dialogue between CPCE and PCPCU to begin in 2022 will aim to produce a document with the preliminary working title “Towards a Common Understanding of Church: Reassurance, Deepening, Outlook”.

Communiqué
Le 7 septembre 2021 s’est tenue au siège du Conseil Pontifical pour la Promotion de l’Unité des Chrétiens (CPPUC) une rencontre entre des représentants de la Communion d’Églises Protestantes en Europe (CEPE) et du CPPUC. Cet entretien avait pour objet la poursuite de la planification d’un dialogue, dont le début avait déjà été convenu entre les deux partenaires à l’automne 2018. Après la nomination des membres des deux délégations, des accords définitifs devaient être conclus avant le début officiel du dialogue l’année suivante.
À cette rencontre ont pris part le président du CPPUC, le Cardinal Kurt Koch, l’Évêque Bertram Meier (Augsbourg), chef désigné de la délégation catholique, et le Révérend Père Augustinus Sander, OSB, cosecrétaire catholique désigné du dialogue. Du côté protestant, la CEPE était représentée par son président exécutif John Bradbury (également désigné chef de délégation), son secrétaire général Mario Fischer et son secrétaire d’étude Martin Friedrich, cosecrétaire protestant désigné du dialogue.
En 2018, une série de consultations au nom de la CEPE et du CPPUC avait abouti à un « Rapport sur l’Église et la communion ecclésiale ». Le dialogue entre la CEPE et le CPPUC, qui débutera en 2022, aura pour objectif la rédaction d’un document portant actuellement le titre provisoire « Vers une compréhension commune de l’Église. Confrontations, approfondissements, perspectives”.

Comunicato
Il 7 settembre 2021 si è svolto, presso la sede del Pontificio Consiglio per la Promozione dell’Unità dei Cristiani (PCPUC) in Vaticano, un incontro tra i rappresentanti del PCPUC e della Comunione di Chiese Protestanti in Europa (CCPE/GEKE). Le conversazioni si sono incentrate sull’ulteriore pianificazione di un dialogo, il cui avvio era stato già concordato tra i due partner nell’autunno del 2018. Avendo entrambi ora scelto le rispettive delegazioni, gli aspetti finali dovrebbero essere concordati prima dell’inizio ufficiale del dialogo il prossimo anno.
Da parte del PCPUC, erano presenti all’incontro il suo Presidente, il Cardinale Kurt Koch, S.E. Mons. Bertram Meier (Augsburg), come capo designato della delegazione cattolica, e P. Augustinus Sander OSB, come Co-segretario cattolico designato del dialogo. La CCPE/GEKE era rappresentata dal suo Presidente esecutivo, John Bradbury, allo stesso tempo designato capo della delegazione, dal Segretario generale Mario Fischer e dal Segretario agli studi Martin Friedrich come Co-segretario protestante designato del dialogo.
Nel 2018 si era conclusa una serie di consultazioni tra la CCPE/GEKE e il PCPUC, che aveva prodotto un “Rapporto sulla Chiesa e sulla comunione ecclesiale”. Il dialogo tra i due partner, che inizierà nel 2022, ha come obiettivo la redazione di un documento dal titolo provvisorio “In cammino verso una comprensione comune della Chiesa. Confronti, approfondimenti, prospettive”.
