New in the CPCE-Team: Reverend Sam Rajkumar from India

Rev. Sam T. Rajkumar, an ordained Anglican minister, theologian and biblical scholar from India recently started his work at the CPCE head office. His position as Assistant in Ecumenical Ministry is possible thanks to the programme Global Mission Fellows (GMF) of the United Methodist Church.
Rev. Sam T. Rajkumar comes from Tamil Nadu, India, and holds a Master of Theology (MTh) in Biblical Studies. His academic work focuses on the Hebrew Bible, with particular attention to the Psalms, theology for children, and the role of music and song within the biblical tradition.

His life and ministry are deeply shaped by his family’s long-standing involvement in mission for children through the Child Evangelism Fellowship of India. This heritage has significantly influenced his theology and pastoral practice, especially in relation to children and creative expressions of faith.

Sam is the author of several books, including Anime Parables: 366 Daily Devotions, Resounding Faith: Embracing Modern Music in Children’s Ministry, and Sounding Praise: Music in the Bible. In addition to his academic and ministerial work, he is an active songwriter and composer, with his music available on major digital streaming platforms.

Part of Sams ministry is to assists the United Methodist Church in Austria, engaging in congregational life and ecumenical cooperation. Sam stresses his joy, that “the ministry reflects the CPCE vision of unity in reconciled diversity among Protestant churches across cultural and ecclesial boundaries”.

The programme Global Mission Fellows of the United Methodist Church fosters global partnerships and cross-cultural service in projects and institutions close to the Methodist church.
