Mission and Identity
The platform clearly presents the theological foundations of the communion and demonstrates how the CPCE lives unity in reconciled diversity. Protestant churches in Europe – representing around eight percent of the European population – take joint responsibility, work together theologically, and contribute to shaping Europe spiritually.
Worshiping and Believing Together
Unity begins in shared faith – and is especially expressed in worship. Through Word and Sacrament, prayer, and the shared celebration of Holy Communion, the platform shows what unites the churches: fellowship at the Lord’s Table and mutual recognition of ministry and ordination. The Liturgical Atlas illustrates the rich variety of Protestant liturgical traditions across Europe.
Theological Work & Publications
The downloads section offers thematically organized study processes, theological dialogues, and publications. Key resources on ethics, ecclesiology, mission, peace, and justice are available in German, English, and sometimes additional languages, making them accessible throughout Europe.
Social Responsibility
The website highlights how the CPCE engages with societal issues such as democracy, human rights, sustainability, and social responsibility. It presents the church as an active dialogue partner in Europe.
