New Release: Practice and Theology of the Lord’s Supper
After a long process of work, which was initiated by the CPCE General Assembly in Basel in 2018, the result is now available to the public in printed form. Fifty-two theologians – led by Prof. Dr. Jochen Arnold – contributed to it in one way or another. The document itself was then adopted by the General Assembly in Sibiu in 2024. Discussion in the member churches is welcomed.
In addition to the CPCE document, the printed volume contains four further perspectives on the Lord´s Supper, two of which can be seen as preparatory work for the document (Luiza Sutter Rehmann and Wilfried Härle) and two as an echo (Jochen Arnold/Bettina Gilbert and Ralph Kunz). The bilingual volume (German and English) was edited by Jochen Arnold, Stefan Cosoroaba and Christine Oefele. It is available from our bookshop and is a must-read for anyone dealing with today’s theological and pastoral challenges regarding the Lord’s Supper.
