On 5 June 2025, the annual meeting of the General Secretaries of the CPCE and the EBF took place at the Head office of the European Baptist Federation (EBF) in Amsterdam. In addition to the General Secretaries Alan Donaldson and Mario Fischer, participated CPCE Study Secretary Thomas-Andreas P\u00f5der and on behalf of the EBF Pastor Christian Wehde. One focus of the meeting was on arrangements for the ecumenical dialogue between the two church families, which will begin in spring 2026. The dialogue aims to re-evaluate the steps taken in recent years between Baptists and CPCE churches, particularly with regard to the recognition of baptism. The goal of the dialogue is to explore possibilities for church communion. In 2010, the CPCE and the EBF concluded an \u2018Agreement to become mutually co-operating bodies\u2019, which is reflected in the fact that people from both traditions work together in working groups of the other organisation and mutual invitations are extended to consultations, conferences and General Assemblies or Council meetings. This year, the EBC is celebrating its 75th anniversary with a large council meeting in Amman, Jordan, which will also be attended by CPCE General Secretary Mario Fischer.<\/p>\n

Am 5. Juni 2025 fand in der Gesch\u00e4ftsstelle der European Baptist Federation (EBF) in Amsterdam das j\u00e4hrliche Generalsekret\u00e4rstreffen von GEKE und EBF statt. Neben den Generalsekret\u00e4ren Alan Donaldson und Mario Fischer nahmen der GEKE-Studiensekret\u00e4r Thomas-Andreas P\u00f5der und Pastor Christian Wehde f\u00fcr den EBF teil. Einen Schwerpunkt des Treffens bildeten Absprachen zu dem \u00f6kumenischen Dialog zwischen den beiden Kirchenfamilien, der im Fr\u00fchjahr 2026 starten wird. Der Dialog soll neubewerten, welche neuen Schritte in den vergangenen Jahren zwischen Baptisten und GEKE-Kirchen gegangen wurden, besonders in der Frage der Anerkennung der Taufe. Ziel des Dialogs ist es, M\u00f6glichkeiten der Kirchengemeinschaft auszuloten. Im Jahr 2010 schlossen GEKE und EBF ein \u201eVereinbarung zur gegenseitigen Zusammenarbeit\u201d die sich darin ausdr\u00fcckt, dass Personen aus den beiden Traditionen in Arbeitsgruppen der jeweils anderen Organisation mitarbeiten, wechselseitige Einladungen zu Konsultationen, Konferenzen und Vollversammlungen, bzw. Ratssitzungen ausgesprochen werden. In diesem Jahr feiert die EBF ihr 75-j\u00e4hriges Bestehen mit einer gro\u00dfen Ratssitzung in Amman\/Jordanien, an der auch GEKE-Generalsekret\u00e4r Mario Fischer teilnimmt.<\/p>\n
