La Conf\u00e9rence des \u00c9glises protestantes des pays latins d’Europe (CEPPLE) s’est retrouv\u00e9e pour un colloque du 08 au 09 octobre 2024 au Centre ‚Los Rubios‘ pr\u00e8s de Malaga en Espagne et a r\u00e9fl\u00e9chie sur la crise de l’engagement.<\/p>\n
Une vocation est un engagement fort, un appel, une mission \u00e0 vivre – la personne s’engage par sa foi, non seulement pour la communaut\u00e9 mais aussi pour Dieu. Cependant, les participants ont remarqu\u00e9 que de moins en moins de personnes s\u2019engage – non seulement pour devenir pasteur.e, mais en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral pour vivre un minist\u00e8re au sein de leur communaut\u00e9. La vie d\u2019Eglise repose sur peu d’\u00e9paules. S’il est possible d’obtenir un engagement pour un (court) projet, les gens h\u00e9sitent de plus en plus \u00e0 s’engager \u00e0 plus long terme (par exemple comme cat\u00e9ch\u00e8te, conseiller).<\/p>\n
Outre les r\u00e9flexions th\u00e9ologiques sur le sens de la vocation et les \u00e9changes mutuels sur la situation dans les \u00e9glises participantes, le groupe a \u00e9t\u00e9 accueilli par l’Iglesia Protestante del Redentor (une congr\u00e9gation de l’\u00c9glise \u00e9vang\u00e9lique espagnole) pour une soir\u00e9e de rencontre. Le pasteur Rub\u00e9n Barnal a rappel\u00e9 l’histoire d\u2019un protestantisme clandestin en Espagne au 16\u00e8me si\u00e8cle et en r\u00e9veil au 19\u00e8me si\u00e8cle.<\/p>\n

The Conference of Protestant Churches in Latin Europe (Conf\u00e9rence des \u00c9glises protestantes des pays latins d\u2019Europe \u2013 CEPPLE) met for a colloquium from 08 to 09 October 2024 at the \u2018Los Rubios\u2019 Centre near Malaga in Spain and reflected on the crisis of commitment.<\/p>\n
A vocation is a strong commitment, a call, a mission to be lived out \u2013 a person makes a commitment by faith, not only for the community but also for God. However, the participants have noticed that fewer and fewer people are making this commitment \u2013 not just to become a minister, but generally to live out a ministry within their community. Church life rests on very few shoulders. While it’s possible to get a commitment for a (short) project, people are increasingly reluctant to make a longer-term commitment (e.g. as a catechist, counsellor).<\/p>\n
Next to theological reflections on the meaning of vocation and mutual exchange about the situation in the participating churches, the group was welcomed by the Iglesia Protestante del Redentor (a congregation of the Spanish Evangelical Church) for an evening of encounter. Pastor Rub\u00e9n Barnal told the history of clandestine Protestantism in Spain in the 16th century and of a revival in the 19th century.<\/p>\n

Die Konferenz der protestantischen Kirchen in Lateineuropa (Conf\u00e9rence des \u00c9glises protestantes des pays latins d’Europe – CEPPLE) traf sich vom 08. bis 09. Oktober 2024 zu einem Kolloquium im Zentrum \u201eLos Rubios\u201c in der N\u00e4he von Malaga in Spanien und dachte \u00fcber die Krise des Engagements nach.<\/p>\n
Eine Berufung ist ein starkes Engagement, ein Ruf, eine Mission, die es zu leben gilt \u2013 eine Person engagiert durch ihren Glauben, nicht nur f\u00fcr die Gemeinschaft, sondern auch f\u00fcr Gott. Die Teilnehmer haben jedoch festgestellt, dass sich immer weniger Menschen zu diesem Engagement verpflichten \u2013 nicht nur, um Pfarrer zu werden, sondern allgemein, um einen Dienst in ihrer Gemeinde auszu\u00fcben. Das kirchliche Leben ruht auf sehr wenigen Schultern. W\u00e4hrend es eher m\u00f6glich ist, eine Zusage f\u00fcr ein (kurzes) Projekt zu bekommen, z\u00f6gern die Menschen zunehmend, sich l\u00e4ngerfristig zu engagieren (z. B. als Katechet, in der Seelsorge).<\/p>\n
Neben theologischen \u00dcberlegungen zur Bedeutung von Berufung und dem gegenseitigen Austausch \u00fcber die Situation in den beteiligten Kirchen wurde die Gruppe von der Iglesia Protestante del Redentor (einer Gemeinde der Spanischen Evangelischen Kirche) zu einem Abend der Begegnung empfangen.
