Subsequently, eighteen new contacts (e.g. ecumenical officers, officers for foreign affairs, committee members) signed up for induction training about the basic principles, structures and life in the church communion. Head office staff conducted two half-day videoconference sessions explaining how the Church Communion works, where its roots lie, and where it is heading, discussing the latter with the participants. Study Secretary Professor Martin Friedrich filled them in on the history of the Leuenberg Agreement, the Church Communion and the ecumenical dialogues conducted by the CPCE. Professor Thomas-Andreas P\u00f5der presented the Leuenberg Documents and study documents produced by the CPCE. On a practical note, Dr Oliver Engelhardt presented the member churches, regional groups and the role of contact persons vis-a-vis ecumenical organisations. General Secretary Dr Mario Fischer explained the structure of the CPCE and its current \u201cBeing church together\u201d strategy. The time left for chatting and networking was a bit short, but overall the participants responded positively to the experience.<\/p>\n<p>**********************************************************************************************<\/p>\n<p>\u201eWas ist neu?\u201c ist die Frage, die unser Newsletter in verschiedenen Rubriken beantworten m\u00f6chte. \u201eWer ist neu?\u201c hat hingegen die Gesch\u00e4ftstelle die GEKE-Mitgliedskirchen gefragt. Achtzehn neue Kontaktpersonen (z.B. \u00d6kumenebeauftragte, Auslandsreferentin, Gremienmitglied) haben sich daraufhin f\u00fcr eine Einf\u00fchrung \u00fcber die Grundlagen, Strukturen und das Leben der Kirchengemeinschaft angemeldet. In zwei halben Tagen haben Mitarbeiter der Gesch\u00e4ftsstelle per Videokonferenz erkl\u00e4rt, wie die Kirchengemeinschaft funktioniert, woher sie kommt und wohin sie gehen will und diese Frage mit den Teilnehmenden diskutiert: Studiensekret\u00e4r Prof. Martin Friedrich hat in die Geschichte der Leuenberger Konkordie und der Kirchengemeinschaft sowie in der \u00f6kumenischen Dialoge der GEKE eingef\u00fchrt. Prof. Thomas-Andreas P\u00f5der hat die Leuenberger Texte und Studiendokumente der GEKE vorgestellt. Aus einer praktischen Perspektive hat Dr. Oliver Engelhardt Mitgliedskirchen, Regionalgruppen sowie die Rolle von Kontaktpersonen gegen\u00fcber \u00f6kumenischen Organisationen dargestellt. Generalsekret\u00e4r Dr. Mario Fischer hat die Struktur der GEKE sowie ihre aktuelle Strategie \u201eGemeinsam Kirche sein\u201c vorgestellt.
