Am 7. September 2021 fand in den R\u00e4umen des P\u00e4pstlichen Rates zur F\u00f6rderung der Einheit der Christen (PCPCU) im Vatikan ein Treffen zwischen Vertretern des PCPCU und der Gemeinschaft Evangelischer Kirchen in Europa (GEKE) statt. Gegenstand der Gespr\u00e4che war die weitere Planung eines Dialogs, dessen Aufnahme bereits im Herbst 2018 zwischen beiden Partnern vereinbart worden war. Nachdem inzwischen beide Seiten ihre Delegationen bestimmt hatten, sollten letzte Verabredungen vor der offiziellen Aufnahme des Dialogs im kommenden Jahr getroffen werden.<\/p>\n
Teilnehmer waren von Seiten des PCPCU dessen Pr\u00e4sident, Kurt Kardinal Koch, Bischof Bertram Meier (Augsburg) als designierter Leiter der r\u00f6misch-katholischen Delegation und P. Augustinus Sander OSB als deren designierter Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer. Die GEKE wurde durch ihren gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrenden Pr\u00e4sidenten John Bradbury (zugleich designierter Leiter der Delegation), den Generalsekret\u00e4r Mario Fischer und den Studiensekret\u00e4r Martin Friedrich als designierten Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer auf evangelischer Seite vertreten.<\/p>\n
2018 war eine Konsultationsreihe im Auftrag der GEKE und des PCPCU zum Abschluss gekommen, die als Ergebnis einen \u201eBericht \u00fcber Kirche und Kirchengemeinschaft\u201c vorgelegt hatte. Der nun im Jahr 2022 beginnende Dialog zwischen GEKE und PCPCU wird ein Dokument mit dem vorl\u00e4ufigen Arbeitstitel \u201eAuf dem Weg zu einem gemeinsamen Verst\u00e4ndnis von Kirche. The topic of the talks was continuing the planning of a dialogue, to which the two partners had originally agreed in autumn 2018. Now that the two sides had appointed their delegations, this meeting was convened in order to make the final arrangements before the official dialogue starts next year.<\/p>\n Participants from the PCPCU side were its president, Kurt Cardinal Koch, Bishop Bertram Meier (Augsburg) as designated leader of the Roman Catholic delegation and Pater Augustinus Sander OSB as its designated secretary. The CPCE was represented by its Executive President John Bradbury (also the designated leader of the delegation), General Secretary Mario Fischer and Study Secretary Martin Friedrich as designated secretary on the Protestant side.<\/p>\n 2018 saw the conclusion of a series of consultations on behalf of the CPCE and the PCPCU, which presented as its findings a \u201cReport on Church and Church Communion\u201d.
