Training for the ordained ministry

CC/Smiling da vinci/Eelco

For a number of years, the CPCE has been working on the question of theological education in its member churches. Following a preparatory consultation in September 2003, the 6th General Assembly in 2006 resolved to conduct a longer term project entitled “Training for the ordained ministry” in order to obtain “a comprehensive understanding of the principles and ways of training pastors in the CPCE member churches.”

Several consultations were held to draw up a document which was revised in December 2011 to take account of the reactions from the churches and is to be submitted to the General Assembly in 2012 after approval by the council of the CPCE.

On this page you can find further information on this project and the published results.
